EZ Air Automatic Tire Deflators: instructions
Four deflators per set. Range: 6 to 30 PSI.
Set them (once, then they remember)
- Deflate one tire to the pressure you want, with a gauge.
- Wind the lock ring and adjusting cap down, then screw the deflator onto a clean valve stem with good threads.
- Loosen the cap (counterclockwise) until the deflator pops open, then tighten it right away to the point where air stops.
- Turn the lock ring up against the cap to hold it. That deflator is now set.
- Set the other three to match. Each half turn of the cap changes the setting by about 3 PSI.
Use them
- Screw one deflator on each tire. Air starts leaving on its own.
- Wait. Each one stops when its tire reaches the set pressure.
- Remove them and check one tire with a gauge.
If the tire is already within about 8 PSI of the setting, the deflator may not start by itself: fit it, then lift the center pin to start it.
